Caerdav has finished its first Avolon Airbus A320 transition, carrying out a full maintenance check and an engine replacement at its St Athan, Wales maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) base before the jet entered service with Spanish low-cost carrier Volotea (IATA: V7, ICAO: VOE).

The work, performed under an agreement between Caerdav and aviation lessor Avolon, covered a detailed airframe inspection commonly referred to as a C-check, replacement of one or more engines and the standard testing and paperwork required to deliver the aircraft back to service. Avolon, which manages a portfolio of more than 1,000 aircraft, named Caerdav as a partner to support future transitions and deliveries across Europe.
For Volotea, the incoming Airbus A320 joins the airline’s short- and medium-haul fleet and was accepted after the completion of all maintenance tasks and regulatory release. Caerdav’s St Athan site handled the technical scope, coordination with the lessor and the handover process to the operator, demonstrating the company’s growing role in European leasing operations.
