Garmin G1000NXi Upgrade for Citation CJ1

Duncan Aviation is rolling out a factory-backed avionics refresh for Citation CJ1 owners nationwide.

From October 12, 2025, Duncan Aviation began offering the Garmin G1000NXi upgrade for Citation CJ1 (Cessna Citation CJ1) business jets at all of its U.S. facilities. The Garmin G1000 NXi (next-generation integrated flight deck) swap replaces legacy cockpits with a modern, integrated avionics suite designed to improve situational awareness and operational efficiency for private and charter operators.

Garmin G1000NXi upgrade: What it brings

The upgrade adds high-resolution displays, advanced navigation, and consolidated systems monitoring — features that matter for shorter-range light jets like the CJ1. Operators get weather and traffic integration, synthetic vision, and improved flight planning tools that reduce pilot workload and support safer, more efficient flights.

Duncan Aviation will perform installations at its network of service centers across the United States, giving Citation CJ1 owners a nationwide option for a complete flight-deck modernization. The program targets legacy avionics obsolescence and helps extend the operational life and market value of older CJ1 airframes by bringing them up to a contemporary avionics standard.

  • Key feature: Garmin G1000NXi upgrade adds integrated weather, traffic, synthetic vision, and modern navigation to the Citation CJ1 cockpit.
  • Availability: Installations available at all Duncan Aviation U.S. facilities starting Oct 12, 2025.
  • Benefit: Lower pilot workload, improved situational awareness, and potential operational savings through better flight planning.

For many owners, the decision to modernize avionics balances upfront retrofit cost versus long-term benefits such as better dispatch reliability, easier avionics support, and higher resale value. Duncan Aviation’s nationwide availability aims to simplify logistics for CJ1 operators by offering consistent installation standards and local support across its facilities.

As business-jet avionics continue to evolve, factory-alike upgrades like the Garmin G1000NXi make it practical for legacy fleets to adopt digital cockpits without replacing the airframe. Owners interested in scheduling or technical details should contact their closest Duncan Aviation service center to discuss installation timelines and STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) coverage.
