Spirit Adds Fort Lauderdale–Belize Nonstop

Spirit Airlines launched the only Fort Lauderdale Belize nonstop on November 21, 2025, with three weekly A320-family flights.

Spirit Airlines (IATA: NK, ICAO: NKS) began operating the sole nonstop connection between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) on November 21, 2025. The service runs three times weekly using Airbus A320-family aircraft, giving travelers a faster option than itineraries requiring connections.

The carrier said this new link marks its 24th international destination from FLL — the most of any operator at the airport — and aims to strengthen direct U.S.–Central America connectivity for both leisure and business traffic. Route planners expect the service to support Belize’s tourism recovery and make short business hops from South Florida simpler.

What the Fort Lauderdale Belize nonstop means

By adding the FLL–BZE nonstop, Spirit positions itself as a primary low-cost gateway between Florida and Belize. The airline highlighted recent industry recognition for safety, affordability and maintenance excellence while noting the operational benefits of deploying A320-family jets on the route.

  • Key route facts: Fort Lauderdale–Belize nonstop; three weekly frequencies; Airbus A320-family aircraft; service launched November 21, 2025.

For travelers, a nonstop reduces total travel time and the risk of missed connections, particularly on popular Florida–Caribbean/Central America corridors. For Belize, more direct seats from South Florida can translate into increased hotel bookings, excursions and business contacts with U.S. partners.

Operational details such as specific flight numbers were not published at launch. Passengers should check Spirit’s schedule and airport information for the latest departure times and fares. With this addition, Spirit reinforces its low-cost network strategy while expanding point-to-point options from FLL.
