Air New Zealand Engineering has gone live with OneReg to digitise regulatory compliance and maintenance workflows.
Air New Zealand compliance moved from paper to a cloud-first system when OneReg, a New Zealand-based aviation compliance platform, went live with Air New Zealand Engineering. The digital rollout aims to speed regulatory tasks, reduce manual errors and give technicians a single source of truth for maintenance records and approvals.
The platform replaces paper-heavy processes used across multiple engineering teams and is designed to support thousands of frontline staff with real-time access to procedures, checklists and audit trails. Operators and regulators increasingly expect traceable, timestamped records — something digital systems deliver more reliably than paper logs.
Air New Zealand’s Maintenance division is scheduled to adopt the OneReg system later this year, extending the platform’s reach across larger parts of the carrier’s technical operations. The staged rollout reflects a cautious, safety-first approach that keeps day-to-day flying operations insulated while new digital controls are validated.
Industry-wide, airlines are shifting toward integrated, AI-enabled compliance tools as oversight becomes more complex and data-driven. OneReg’s model leans on automation to flag anomalies and centralise documentation — helping engineering teams focus on maintenance delivery rather than paperwork.
