Air Tahiti ATR72 Business-Class VIP Service

Air Tahiti will fly an ATR72-600 in an all-business-class VIP layout between islands in French Polynesia.

Air Tahiti revealed at the July 2025 Paris Air Show that its newly ordered ATR72-600 will feature ATR’s HighLine premium cabin in an all-business-class configuration. The move targets high-end inter-island travelers, positioning the carrier toward a boutique, VIP shuttle model within French Polynesia.

The single-type ATR72-600 (a turboprop regional aircraft) is well suited to short hops across atolls and narrow runways; Air Tahiti intends to leverage that capability with a drastically reduced seat count and upgraded interiors to compete for premium demand. The plan follows renewed interest in narrow-market, all-business-class concepts seen in Europe.

Air Tahiti ATR72 premium setup

Air Tahiti’s announcement cites ATR’s HighLine fit as the backbone of the product: larger seats, more space, and exclusive service aimed at private-charter and wealthy leisure travelers. The airline pointed to market examples such as La Compagnie and BeOnd as proof that niche all-business models can find a sustainable audience when executed carefully.

  • What to expect: an Air Tahiti ATR72 with fewer seats, HighLine amenities, and VIP-focused schedules.

Operational details such as exact seating count, launch date, and specific island routes were not released with the Paris Air Show statement. Air Tahiti’s concept is deliberately compact—short sector times, faster turnarounds, and a premium price point designed to offset the higher per-seat operating cost of an all-business layout.

For travelers, this could mean a new option for fast, comfortable island transfers without the formality of a private jet. For the airline, it’s a calculated bet on consistent premium leisure and charter demand within French Polynesia. Watch for further updates from Air Tahiti as delivery timelines and route plans are finalized.
