ASL Aviation has added an Airbus A330-300 freighter to Ireland’s registry, expanding its long-haul cargo capability.
On September 17, 2025, ASL Aviation completed registration of a new ASL A330-300 freighter in Dublin with the Irish Aviation Authority. The move formally adds a widebody, long-range freighter to ASL’s Irish-based fleet and is expected to support both European and transatlantic freight operations as the aircraft enters service on scheduled routes.
The Airbus A330-300 freighter is a twin-engine, widebody platform well suited to long-sector cargo work thanks to its range and payload profile. ASL — a Dublin-headquartered cargo operator — has been expanding capacity to meet growing demand for intercontinental freight, and this aircraft offers flexibility for belly-replacement and full-freighter missions.
Registering the aircraft in Ireland through the Irish Aviation Authority clears a legal and regulatory step ahead of operational integration. ASL intends to put the aircraft into scheduled service quickly, routing it on intra-European lanes and on transatlantic sectors where larger freighters provide cost and capacity advantages compared with narrowbody cargo services.
Operationally, the new A330-300 freighter gives ASL more payload and range options, helping the airline respond to seasonal peaks and contract freight demands. The Dublin registry aligns with ASL’s corporate base, simplifying crewing and maintenance coordination for European and North Atlantic sectors.
