Comlux will outfit six A220s and two A321s with bespoke interiors for Magnifica Air’s premium start-up fleet.
Comlux confirmed it will complete cabin outfitting for six Airbus A220s and two A321s for US-based Magnifica Air, with work scheduled at Comlux’s Indianapolis completion centre once the jets are delivered. The announcement was made at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas on October 14–16, 2025 and names Air Lease Corporation (ALC) as the lessor for all eight aircraft.
Magnifica Air, founded by Wade Black, says the eight leased jets will form its initial fleet and are being configured as premium scheduled aircraft carrying 45–54 passengers in private-suite layouts. The airline aims to bridge traditional first class and executive aviation with a planned launch of scheduled services in 2027.
Comlux — which operates completion and refurbishment centres including the Indianapolis facility — will handle the interior fit-outs that turn standard A220 and A321 airframes into VIP-configured aircraft. Air Lease Corporation remains the aircraft lessor, supplying the jets that Magnifica Air will operate. The companies did not disclose exact delivery windows for each airframe.
The arrangement signals growing demand for premium narrowbody services that occupy the space between full-service first class and private aviation. Magnifica Air’s model targets travellers who want a boutique, higher-cost cabin experience on scheduled routes rather than charter-only options.
More details on routes, exact cabin layouts and delivery dates are expected as Magnifica Air and Comlux progress through certification and installation steps ahead of the 2027 launch window. For now, the NBAA-BACE announcement provides the clearest public timeline and confirms the core industrial partners involved.
