Jetcraft has launched a Special Missions aircraft trading team to buy and sell business jets configured for surveillance, medevac and maritime patrol.
Announced November 11, 2025, the initiative expands Jetcraft’s presence in the government and defense aviation market. The new Special Missions aircraft trading team will focus on sourcing and marketing business aviation platforms adapted for roles such as airborne surveillance, medical evacuation (medevac), and maritime patrol for NATO and other Western government agencies.
Jetcraft (a global business jet brokerage and sales firm) said the unit will advise on acquisition, sale and conversion suitability for operators that need multi-role capability without committing to bespoke military builds. The move reflects growing demand for flexible, rapidly deployable aircraft solutions amid evolving security, humanitarian and search-and-rescue needs across allied states.
The team will work with governments, defence contractors and maintenance partners to identify candidate airframes, assess payload and sensor integration, and support transactions. While Jetcraft did not list specific aircraft models in the announcement, business jets commonly converted for special missions include platforms from Bombardier, Embraer and Gulfstream families due to cabin volume and range.
The initiative targets NATO and Western agencies seeking proven commercial airframes adapted for defence and humanitarian tasks. Jetcraft frames the team as a bridge between traditional business aviation markets and specialised government requirements, offering speed and market access over bespoke procurement programs.
For operators and procurement officers, the trading team promises a single point of contact for sourcing mission-capable business jets, evaluating lifecycle costs and navigating resale options once roles evolve. As multi-role demands rise, aircraft that can transition between medevac, ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) and maritime roles are increasingly valuable.
